Children Whispering to Plants

Most of the people in our world live consumption-oriented lives. For this reason, we do not consciously use our natural resources. We consume instead of producing. In this project, we aim to create production awareness in our children. In addition to earning this, we will also raise awareness of issues such as ecological footprint and recycling in our students. Our students will have information about plant cultivation, plant population and the growth period of the plant. They will develop their knowledge, skills and abilities.

Aims:

To grow plants by doing agricultural activities.
To learn about the ecological footprint.
To become aware of the recycling.
To learn by living by doing.
To develop self-awareness.
To have environmentally sensitive individuals.
To reach information by conducting experiments and observations.
To cooperate by participating in group studies.
To provide interdisciplinary learning.
To using technology and web2 tools.

 

 

Work process:

Our project will start in April. It will be finished in June. 

The Month Of April:

Introduction meeting
Determination of security rules and receipt of parental consent documents
Execution of project promotion activities (School promotion, teacher promotion, project team promotion, city/country promotion)
Designing project logos and banners
Conducting preliminary examinations of the project
Ecological footprint activities 
Recycling activities

The Month Of May :

"We know the plants" activity
"We are making compost" activity
The activity of "seed germination"
"We are growing plants" activity

Expected results

Thanks to this project, children will move from consumption to production.   Children will recognize plants and grow plants. It will make compost, recycle and make designs using waste in a conscious way. They will learn by having fun using technology. They will be environmentally sensitive individuals and contribute to our world. They will learn by exploring. He will transfer the information learned at school on a daily basis. It will keep its surroundings clean.
